Claes-Göran Cederlund is a Swedish physician and birdwatcher born in 1948.[1] After decades of dedicated birdwatching, in March 2019 he broke the world record of bird species seen or heard in the wild. His record currently stands at 9675 species,[2][3] meaning that Claes-Göran has "ticked" more avian species than anyone ever.

During his birdwatching pursuits he has visited over 120 countries as well as Antarctica.
