HC GKS Katowice is a professional ice hockey team in Katowice, Poland.
The team was founded in 1964. Katowice won six Polska Liga Hokejowa titles between 1958 and 1970. The team did not participate in the 2015-16 season due to financial constraints, but returned for the 2016-17 season.[citation needed] In 2017 the name of the club was changed to Tauron KH GKS Katowice, due to sponsorship by Tauron Group.[citation needed] The club finished 2017-18 season on the 2nd place.[citation needed]
