Bassem Amin (Arabic: باسم أمين; born 9 September 1988) is an Egyptian chess player. He was awarded the title Grandmaster by FIDE in 2006. Amin is the highest rated player of Egypt and Africa.

Personal life
Amin graduated from the faculty of Medicine of the Tanta University in 2012. He is one of three doctors who are also chess grandmasters (along with Alex Scherzer and Yona Kosashvili).
