Yset is a village in the municipality of Tynset in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located along the Orkla River at the confluence with the Ya River[2] about 31 kilometers (19 mi) southeast of the village of Innset, about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) southeast of the village of Kvikne, and about 33 kilometres (21 mi) northwest of the village of Tynset. Norwegian National Road 3 passes through the village.[3]

The old dam construction for the Eidsfossen Hydroelectric Power Station can be seen from National Road 3 about 5 kilometers (3.1 mi) south of Yset.[4]
