Anthony Charles Carter (born 31 August 1994) is an Australian professional footballer who plays for Portuguese club Académico Viseu as a forward.[1]

Early life

Carter was born in Melbourne, Australia.[2] He grew up in the suburb of Dandenong before moving to Italy, aged sixteen.[3]

Career

Carter signed a senior contract with Romanian club CFR Cluj in early 2013, having previously attended Genova International Soccer School.[4] He made his competitive debut for the club as a substitute in the final minutes of a loss to Universitatea Cluj in April 2015.[5] On 24 January 2018 he signed a four and a half years contract with Portuguese club S.L. Benfica, joining its reserve team of LigaPro.[6][7]
