North East Wales (Welsh: Gogledd-Ddwyrain Cymru) is a region of Wales corresponding to Wrexham County Borough (Welsh: Bwrdeistref Sirol Wrecsam) and the counties of Flintshire (Welsh: Sir y Fflint) and Denbighshire (Welsh: Sir Ddinbych), together comprising most of the preserved county of Clwyd.

Usage and definition

The term North East Wales is used by the Welsh Government in the Wales Spatial Plan[1] and the BBC.[2]
