The members of the alliance are individually owned and managed but work together for sustainable industry.

The GFG Alliance includes:[3]

The GFG Alliance partners propose to build a larger steel manufacturing plant at Whyalla in South Australia. The steel plant is proposed to be owned by Liberty, while the associated mines at Iron Sultan and Iron Warrior will be owned by SIMEC Mining.[4]
