The communauté de communes des Rives du Cher was created on December 28, 1993 and is in the Cher département of the Centre region of France. It was merged into the new Communauté de communes Arnon Boischaut Cher in 2011.

It comprised the following 5 communes:

  1. Châteauneuf-sur-Cher
  2. Corquoy
  3. Lapan
  4. Saint-Symphorien
  5. Venesmes
