Location of Helvíkovice in the Czech Republic

Helvíkovice (Helkovice) is a village in the Ústí nad Orlicí District, Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It used to be part of Žamberk. It has around 430 inhabitants. The village was founded in the second half of the 14th century and is situated on both banks of the river Divoká Orlice, west of Žamberk, in the district of Ústí nad Orlicí.[1] The Hamlet Houkov is administrative part of Helvíkovice.

Notable people

Prokop Diviš is the catholic priest and pioneer in the research of electricity.
