Lipovec is a village and municipality (obec) in Blansko District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 11.54 square kilometres (4.46 sq mi), and has a population of 1,063 (as at 28 August 2006).

Lipovec lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) east of Blansko, 26 km (16 mi) north-east of Brno, and 189 km (117 mi) south-east of Prague.
