Caimh McDonnell is an Irish novelist, TV writer, and stand-up comedian, styled as the white-haired Irishman whose name nobody can pronounce on the British stand-up circuit.[1][2][3] He was born in Limerick and raised in Dublin.[4]

McDonnell has written five novels while his TV writing credits include Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week, A League of Their Own, The Sarah Millican Television Programme, and the children's CBBC animated series Pet Squad which he created.[1][2][3]
