Muhammad Wakkas is a Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh politician and the former Member of Parliament of Jessore-5.

Career

Wakkas was elected to parliament from Jessore-5 as a Jatiya Party candidate in 1986 and 1988.[1] [2] He served as the State Minister of Religious Affairs in the Hussain Mohammad Ershad Cabinet.[3] He was elected to parliament from Jessore-5 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in 2001.[4] He is a member of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh.[5]
