Lietbertus of Saint-Ruf
Lietbertus of St. Ruf[1] was the abbot of Saint-Ruf, in the diocese of Avignon. He was the author of a commentary on the Psalms called Flores Psalmorum and wrote the customs, Liber ecclesiastici et canonici ordinis, practiced in his abbey. These customs were based upon the monastic recommendations of St. Augustine. They became very influential and started the reform of monastic life, that eventually led to the order of St. Augustine.
He was educated at the Lille collegiate church of St. Peter, which was dedicated in 1066.
