Mike is now semi-retired and working hard on his writing. He was an English teacher working at Milbourne Lodge School, who originally worked under the inspirational headmaster Norman Hale. Mike subsequently returned to the Milbourne Lodge School in 2003 after a career working throughout the world, and in particular for the Saudi Royal Family. A new venture is his artwork which is gaining popularity and has been exhibited locally.

His new children's book 'The Exceptional Wilmot Grundy' has been published by Olympia Publishing. It is a humorous adventure based loosely on the pupils and staff at Milbourne Lodge and receiving much praise.
