The International Trombone Association (ITA) is a non-profit organisation of trombonists that is dedicated to supporting trombone-related activities. Founded in 1972, it has a membership of more than 4,000 members from 74 countries.[1]

The ITA's activities include the publishment of a quarterly magazine, the ITA Journal,[2] and the organisation of international tromboning festivals and competitions.[3] It also sponsors the composition of new music, which it distributes as sheet music through its press department, and manages an international member assistance programme.
