The 1989 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Tournament was played at Levitt Arena in Wichita, Kansas after the conclusion of the 1988–1989 regular season. The Creighton Bluejays won their 3rd MVC Tournament title to earn an automatic bid to the 1989 NCAA Tournament.
