The International Academy for Production Engineering is a professional body for research into production engineering. It was formed as the International Institution for Production Engineering Research (CIRP) in 1951.[1][2]

CIRP uses different platforms for scientific exchange. One of this is "CIRP Global Web Conference on Production Engineering Research" born in 2011.[3] The CSI of Naple University in person of Ing Fabrizio Pietrafesa has provided technical support for the realization of multimedial contents in year 2014.

The International Academy for Production Engineering takes its abbreviated name from the French acronym of College International pour la Recherche en Productique (CIRP).[4]
