Michele Vasconcelos (born May 11, 1994), née Murphy, is an American soccer player who plays as a forward for Chicago Red Stars in the NWSL.

Club career

Vasconcelos played for Real Salt Lake Women in the United Women's Soccer league during the 2016 season.[1]

Chicago Red Stars, 2018–present

She was drafted by the Chicago Red Stars with the 11th pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft.[2] She missed the entire 2017 NWSL season as she was pregnant with her first child.[3]

On March 25, 2018, Vasconcelos made her debut for Chicago Red Stars in a 1–1 draw against Houston Dash.[4]

International career

Vasconcelos received a call-up to the United States Under-23 Women's National Team for a training camp in November 2017.[5]

Personal life

Vasconcelos is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.[6] She married Pedro Vasconcelos in 2014.[7] She gave birth to a daughter, Scarlett, in 2017.[8]
