Jasmine Yeong-Nathan

Jasmine Yeong-Nathan (Simplified Chinese: 杨于萱, born 1988) is a Singaporean ten-pin bowler and the first AMF Bowling World Cup champion from Singapore (2008 edition). She is the younger sister of Jason Yeong-Nathan, who is also a former Singapore national bowler. She attributes her interest in the sport to her brother. [citation needed]
In her previous outing at the 2006 AMF World Cup, Yeong-Nathan qualified for the semi-finals in 7th place, and duly finished 6th in the final rounds.
At the 2008 AMF World Cup, the then 20-year-old Singapore Polytechnic student blitzed past the then-defending champion Ann-Maree Putney from Australia in straight sets (263-222 and 298-215), becoming the first Singaporean ever to win an AMF World Cup title.
Yeong-Nathan is also the 2005 Singapore national bowling champion. With her recent success at the AMF World Cup, she now joins the ranks of accomplished Singaporean bowlers such as Henry Tan, Ronny Ng, Lucy Low, Adelene Wee, Grace Young, Remy Ong and Jesmine Ho.[1]
She was named Singapore's Sportswoman of the Year in 2009 for her stellar victory at the 2008 AMF World Cup.
