Nikolaos Smaragdis (born (1982-02-12)12 February 1982 in Thessaloniki, Greece) is a Greek male volleyball player. He has been 196 times capped with Greece national team. At club level he plays for the 2018-19 season in Hellenic Volley League for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos Piraeus.

Career

Smaragdis has won 9 times the Hellenic Championship. He is also the only Greek Volleyball player who achieved it, with four different clubs.

International career

Smaragdis was part of the Greece men's national volleyball team at the 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in Japan.[1]
