Clarissa Knighten

Clarissa Knighten is a jewelry artist who is based in Kansas City. Knighten worked in the corporate world for 19 years before she transitioned to working as a full-time artist in 2017. Knighthen's jewelry often incorporates bright colors, bold textures and natural items.[1]

Background

Knighten's family traveled all over the country with her father who was a Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force.[2] Knighten graduated from North Kansas City High School and started working in the corporate world. In 2017, Knighten started working as a professional artist; participating in Kansas City's fashion week, group exhibitions and is a member of the African American Artists Collective KC.[3]
