The New Green Consumer Guide is a book written by Julia Hailes on green consumerism.[1] As alluded to in a blurb published by Simon & Schuster on the said book, the guide explores how one can consume goods and services in an environmentally friendly manner.[1] Goods and services discussed in the said book are derived from the topics of travel, transport, food and drink, home and garden as well as fashion and cosmetics.[1]
The New Green Consumer Guide was published in 2007 as a successor to The Green Consumer Guide of which Hailes co-authored.[1][2][3][4] First published in 1988, The Green Consumer Guide, in its various editions, has sold in excess of one million copies globally.[1][2][3][4] In the first few weeks after it had been published, there were eleven print runs for The Green Consumer Guide.[4]
