Sweet Combat (Chinese: 甜蜜暴击) is a 2018 Chinese television series starring Lu Han and Guan Xiaotong. The series is based on the Korean manhwa Girls of the Wild's.[1] The series aired on Hunan TV starting July 23, 2018.[2]

Synopsis

Ming Tian is a youth living with his younger brother and sister, as his mother has left and his father has died. Having to work several part-time jobs, he decides to enroll into Zheng Ze University, a sports school which is known for giving out a generous amount of scholarship funds, despite having no foundation in sports. There, he meets Fang Yu, heir of a giant conglomerate, who is groomed to become the next successor. However, Fang Yu has no interest in her family's business and is instead passionate about sports. Defying her family's protests, she enrolls into Zheng Ze University and became the mixed martial arts champion of the school. Fang Yu is tasked to train Ming Tian and during the process of learning, the two fall in love with each other. Under the assistance of Fang Yu and their friends, Ming Tian eventually grows to become a skilled sportsman.

Lu Han Ming Tian (明天) The first male student of Zhengze University. A positive and bright youth who hides his struggles behind a smile.
Guan Xiaotong Fang Yu (方宇) She was groomed to be the heir of Fang Group since young, but instead developed a passion for mixed martial arts and became the country's champion. She hides her insecurity behind a tough image.
Pei Zitian[3] Sun Hao (孙浩) A man who likes animals and standing up for justice. He first falls for Fang Yu, then later Song Xiaomi.
Ivy Shao Song Xiaomi (宋小米) President of Zhengze University's Taekwondo group. A cute and bubbly girl, who likes to cook. She likes Ming Tian but later falls for Sun Hao. She is Ming Tian's teacher.
Zhao Yue Luo Guanyan (罗冠严) President of Zhiying University's Boxing group. A strict senior during practice but is a gentle and warm person in general. He likes Cheng Yanan.
Li Mengmeng[4] Cheng Yanan (程亚楠) President of Zhengze University's Boxing group. An easygoing and forthright girl, known for her tomboy looks and ways. She is Fang Yu's best friend and Ming Tian's teacher. Later she fall for Luo GuanYan
Bu Kang[5] Ma Yichen Member of Zhiying University's Boxing group. Ming Tian's high-school classmate. He tries to hide his inferiority complex by bullying the weak. He later changes his ways and helps Ming Tian.
He Meixuan[6] He Xiaofeng Vice-president of Zhiying University's Boxing group. A sensitive and weak girl despite her tough exterior. She likes Luo Guanyan.
Wang Jia [7] Wang Shiwei A rich second-generation heir. Fang Yu's marriage partner.
Ding Chengxin Fang Zhou Fang Yu's younger brother. CEO of Fang Incorporation.
Wang Yating[8] Ming Tian's mother
Zhang Wan'er Ming Zhu Ming Tian's sister.
Xu Wailuo Ming Lang Ming Tian's brother.
Tien Niu Hao Ma Sun Hao's mother. She runs a food stall.
Guan Zhaoceng (commonly called Xiao Zhang, or Principal) Principal of Zheng Ze.
Wei Zhongkai (commonly called Zhu Ren, or Director) Department head of Zheng Ze.
Zhang Shuangli Fang Shuo Fang Yu's strict grandfather. He wishes the best for both his company and his grandchildren but disapproves of Ming Tian.
Yi Shaode Cheng Dafu Cheng YaNan's father. He runs a sports centre.
Yang Xiaotong Zhang Chunhua A senior in Zheng Ze University.

Production

The series engaged former Chinese taekwondo competitor Chen Zhong to be its consultant.[1]

The series was filmed at Shenchuan and Macau from June to September 2017.[9]
