Syed Mushtaq Ali[1] (10 July 1942[1] – 2 March 2010[1][2]) is a field hockey player from India who won a gold medal with the Men's National Team at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. His name is also given as Syed Mushtaque Ali[2] or Ali Sayeed[3] and his birth date has also been listed as 15 April 1938.[3]

He should not be confused with the similarly named Syed Ali (born 21 August 1956), a field hockey player who competed for India at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.[4]
