M. D. Rajendran is an Indian musical artist and lyricist. His debut film was Mochanam in 1979.[1]

Biography

M. D. Rajendran was born at Thrissur of [[Kerala] in 1952. He is the son of Ponkunnam Damodaran, who was a poet and activist. M D Rajendran was employed with AIR, Thrissur till his retirement in 2012. He is famous as a malayalam poet and lyricist for malayalam films. His debut film was Mochanam (1979) and songs were composed by Devarajan Master. He has written lyrics for about 35 films, most notable works are for Shalini Ente Koottukari (1980), Mangalam Nerunnu (1983) and Devaragam(1996) directed by Bharathan. He has also composed music for some albums and films.
