"Don't Waste My Time" is a song by British rock band Status Quo. It is the opening track on their 1972 album Piledriver.
Release history and live performance
The song was written by Francis Rossi and Bob Young in the soon-to-be trademark shuffle style the group would become famous for. The lyrics reverse gender stereotypes: the guy complains about a girl who's just out for a good time and a few laughs, not being serious about a relationship and messing around.
The song became a live favourite, and frequently got audiences bouncing around at gigs.[1][2] It was included on several compilation albums, such as XS All Areas – The Greatest Hits and Accept No Substitute! The Definitive Hits.[3]
