Deca Sports 2 (Deca Sporta 2 in Japan, Sports Island 2 in Europe) is a sports video game developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Wii and it's the sequel to Deca Sports. The game was released in Japan on April 16, 2009, in Europe on May 15, 2009 and in North America on September 29, 2009.[1]

Gameplay

Deca Sports 2 adds ten new games compared to the previous game: Darts, Dodge Ball, Kendo, Ice Hockey, Mogul Skiing, Motorcycle Road Racing, Petanque, Speed Skating, Synchronized Swimming, and Tenni. The players are able to create their own custom teams, made of teammates with different traits each with its own positive and negative characteristics (like speed or strength).[2]

The multiplayer component has a Wi-Fi support for two to four players depending on the game, with included leaderboards.[2]

Reception

GameSpot gave it a 4.0/10[10], citing awkward controls and shallow gameplay. IGN gave it a 5.3/10[11]. Metacritic gave it a 49 out of 100.[3]
