Bangaarada Panjara (transl. Golden Cage) is a 1974 Indian Kannada comedy film directed by V. Somashekhar and starring Rajkumar in the lead role. The supporting cast features Aarathi, K. S. Ashwath, Pandari Bai and Lokanath.[1][2] The movie saw a theatrical run of 25 weeks.[3]

The core plot of the movie is based on the Marathi play Ekta Jeev Sadashiv which had already been adapted into a 1972 Marathi movie Ekta Jeev Sadashiv starring Dada Kondke. The 2000 Hindi movie Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain is based on the Marathi movie and this movie.

Although the film was not a huge success in its initial release it became one of the most sought Kannada movie for re-releases by '80s.
