Proskovice (Ostrava)

Proskovice are a municipal district of Ostrava, Czech Republic since 24 November 1990, which preserved its village form. In Proskovice lives more than 1200 people.

History

First approved written reference appeared in the book of Roman Catholic Archdiocese. The patron for Proskovice is Saint Florian.

in year 1394. They were an agricultural village. Even though Proskovice became a district of Ostrava the number of people living there stayed almost the same. Mainly because of the longer distance to the center of Ostrava.

Proskovice are located on the south-west edge of Ostrava.
