Teg Ali Teg was a Bhojpuri author and poet.[1] He was from Varanasi and is know for his book Badmash Darpan.[2] He is credited to write Ghazals in Bhojpuri for the first time.[3]

Work

His most famous book Basmash Darpan is a collection of Bhojpuri Ghazals which describes the habit and customs of people of the Benaras.[4] This book was published in 1885 from Bharat Jiwan Press in Varanasi.[5]
