It Happened at the Inn (French: Goupi mains rouges) is a 1943 French mystery film directed by Jacques Becker, starring Fernand Ledoux, Robert Le Vigan, Georges Rollin and Blanchette Brunoy.[1] It follows an investigation where the family members of an old woman are suspected of her murder. The film is based on the 1937 novel with the same title by Pierre Véry.[2] It was released in France on 14 April 1943.[3]

It was shot at the Epinay Studios in Paris with location filming taking place around Charente.
