Nisar Ahmed Cheema is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, since August 2018. His family is famous for its political connections. He served as the Director General Health Services Punjab (DGHSP).

Early and personal life

He is the son of one of the then-richest landlords of Gujranwala and was sent to London for his higher education. He served as Director-General Health Services Punjab (DGHSP). He was able to take control and end the cases of Dengue Virus. He was given the title of the best "DG Health" of all times by the then Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic Of Pakistan. He is brother of Iftikhar Cheema and IG Zulfiqar Cheema.[1]

Political career

He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) from Constituency NA-79 (Gujranwala-I) in 2018 Pakistani general election.[2] He received 142,545 votes and defeated Muhammad Ahmed Chattha, a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.[3]
