Toru Kawashima (川島 透, Kawashima Toru, born June 4, 1970) is a former Japanese football player.

Playing career

Kawashima was born in Osaka Prefecture on June 4, 1970. After dropped out from Chukyo University, he joined Japan Soccer League club Matsushita Electric (later Gamba Osaka) in 1991. However he could hardly play in the match behind Kenji Honnami and Hayato Okanaka. In 1996, he moved to Japan Football League club Otsuka Pharmaceutical. He played as regular goalkeeper in 1996. However his opportunity to play decreased from 1997 and he retired end of 1998 season.
