Gastón Hernán Olveira Echeverría (born 21 April 1993) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for River Plate Montevideo and the Uruguay national team.

Career

Olveira began his career in 2013 with River Plate Montevideo, where he is currently playing.[1] He made his league debut for the club on 19 April 2014 in a 2-1 away defeat to Sud América.[2]

He was part of Uruguay squad which won gold medal at 2015 Pan American Games, but didn't played any minute during all five matches of his team.[3] On 11 October 2019, he received maiden call-up to senior team of Uruguay as a replacement for Fernando Muslera.[4]
