The 2013 AIM Malaysian Indian were held on 12 October 2013 at the Setia City Convention Centre, Shah Alam, Selangor. Marking the debut and first instalment of the award show. The inaugural AIM Malaysian-Indian music awards show, sponsored by the Ministry of Information, Communications & Culture (MICC). The award is to recognise and honouring Malaysian based Indian artist talents.[1]

The awards nominations are open to albums, singles and music videos released in Malaysia during the period from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2012 except for the category of Best New Artiste which is only for first album/single released during the period from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2012. The award show were telecast on Astro Vaanavil.
