Matthew Bach is an Australian politician. He has been a Liberal member of the Victorian Legislative Council since March 2020, when he was appointed to fill a vacancy caused by the resignation of Mary Wooldridge.[1]

Bach holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning from Charles Darwin University, and a PhD from the University of Melbourne.

Prior to his election to parliament, he was the Deputy Head Of Senior School at Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School. At Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School he was a driving force behind the changes to the school uniform [and policies], which is currently under review and subject to be re-designed.

He was appointed to the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mary Wooldridge, for whom he had worked as a parliamentary advisor, after defeating Asher Judah and Nora Lamont.[2]
