Denis Clemente (born April 10, 1986 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player with BK Bemaco SPU Nitra of the Slovak Basketball Association,[1] he played collegiately in the United States with the Kansas State University Wildcats, which he graduated from in 2010. He is a 6'1, 175 pound combo guard.[2] Clemente led Kansas State to the elite 8 round of the 2010 NCAA men's basketball tournament before losing to the Butler Bulldogs. Clemente entered the 2010 NBA Draft but went undrafted. He played in the NBA Summer League with the Charlotte Bobcats but was cut prior to training camp. He is the second cousin of Major League Baseball Hall of Fame player Roberto Clemente.[3] In December 2010 he signed with Greek club Maroussi BC.[4] In September 2011 he signed with Slovak club BK Bemaco SPU Nitra.[5] In 2011 he was selected Rookie of the Year in Puerto Rico's Professional league. He is playing on Mineros de Zacatecas in the LNBP of México in the 2019-2020 season.[6]
