Justin McGrath (born November 24, 1993), better known as Plup, is an American Super Smash Bros. player, considered one of the best in the world in Super Smash Bros. Melee. He is the second player outside of the "Five Gods" — Juan "Hungrybox" Debiedma, Joseph "Mango" Marquez, Adam "Armada" Lindgren, Jason "Mew2King" Zimmerman, and Kevin "PPMD" Nanney — to win a major tournament since 2010, doing so in July 2017 at DreamHack Atlanta, and he is also the second player (after William "Leffen" Hjelte) to take a tournament set against each of the "Five Gods." McGrath rose to prominence in 2015 after placing highly in several major tournaments.[1][2] Among his best placings are first at Genesis 5, second at The Big House 7 and Smash Summit 9, and third at Evo 2016 and Evo 2018. He started as a Samus player and later switched to Sheik. McGrath is also skilled with a variety of other characters, including Fox McCloud and Luigi.
