Kshatriya Kulavatans is a title of nobility, which was conferred upon the seventeenth century Indian warrior king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhosale and it means the born in kshatriya family.[1][2][3][4][5][6] ‘Kshatriya’ is one of the four varnas of Hinduism and ‘kulavantas’ means the head of the ‘kula’ or race.[7] The title continues to be used by Chhatrapati Shivaji’s descendants. Most of the maharashtrians use this title.
