Bench Talkies is a 2015 Indian Tamil language independent anthology film written and directed by six directors—Karthik Subbaraj, Anil Krishnan, Gopakumar, Charukesh Sekar, Monesh lucky and Rathna Kumar.[1] The film features an ensemble cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Guru Somasundaram, Sananth Reddy, and Rishikanth Rajendran.

Plot

Bench Talkies is a collection of six short films directed by six different directors, which will make you travel through different genres, emotions and experiences.

Release

The film was released in Satyam and PVR theatres in Coimbatore, Chennai and Bangalore on 6 March 2015.[2][3]

Critical reception

Bench Talkies opened to positive reviews from the critics. M. Suganth from Times of India gave it 3 out of 5.[4] Baradwaj Rangan of the Hindu wrote "An okayish showcase for amateur talent"[5]
