The Journal of Dietary Supplements is a scientific journal that presents research in any area involving dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, or herbal medicine.
The Journal of Dietary Supplements is abstracted and indexed in the Index medicus and the MEDLINE since 2008.[1]
Aims and scope
JDS is a crucial resource for staying up to date with the burgeoning dietary supplement industry. It provides a much-needed forum to guide the industry’s development as a science-based entity perpetuating Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and high quality clinical trials, leading to safe and effective therapeutic options.[2]
Founding
The Journal of Dietary Supplements was founded in 1996 under the title Journal of Nutraceuticals, Functional & Medical Foods and was published by Haworth Press. It changed to the present title in 2004 and has been published since 2008 by Informa Healthcare.[3]
