The SC-76 Thunderbolt is a sniper rifle manufactured by Steel Core Designs.[1] It's magazine holds 10 rounds, and it is chambered in .308 Winchester/7.62x51 NATO.[2] It costs between $2500 and $3000 and is sold on both the civilian and military markets. Defence expert Simon Schofield has described the rifle as "a serious bit of counterterrorism gear and built to be a bit civilian friendly”.[3] The rifle was considered for use by the Indian MARCOS special forces unit,[4] but ultimately rejected in favour of the Sako Tikka T3 TAC 7.62x51 mm sold by Beretta.[5]
