William Gildea (1888–19??) was a Scottish footballer who played in defence. He was born in Falkirk.

Gildea's clubs included Falkirk, Bradford City and Birmingham City. He played just ten games for Bradford City – seven in the league and three in the FA Cup – including Bradford's FA Cup final appearance in 1911 when they drew 0–0 with Newcastle United.[1] He was injured in the game and replaced by Bob Torrance for the replay[2] and left for Birmingham in September 1911.
