Pristiorajea is a clade of rays containing the Sclerorhynchiformes and the Pristiformes. Members of this clade can be identified by their long, serrated rostrums; however, they are not to be mistaken with the unrelated but very similar-looking sawsharks.[1] They have lived since the Middle Cretaceous period, with the earliest known member of this family being Onchopristis from the Albian period.
