Chamundi Express (Mysore - Bangalore) Route map

The Chamundi Express is a daily commuter train between Mysore and Bangalore. This train leaves Mysore at 6:45 AM to reach Bangalore City at 9:40 AM. Returning it leaves Bangalore City at 6:15 PM and reaches Mysore at 9:10 PM.

It offers second class cars and an air-conditioned car available for booking in advance.

Relevance

This train traces its name to mythology. Chamundi is an incarnation of Goddess Parvathy who destroyed the demon Mahishasura. There is a famous temple of Chamundi near Mysore's Chamundi Hills.
