1975–76 United States network television schedule (daytime)

These are the daytime Monday–Friday schedules on all three networks for each calendar season Beginning in September 1975. All times are Eastern.

Talk shows are highlighted in yellow, local programming is white, reruns of prime-time programming are orange, game shows are pink, soap operas are chartreuse, news programs are gold and all others are light blue. New series are highlighted in bold.

PBS, the Public Broadcasting Service, was in operation, but the schedule was set by each local station.

Note:The Edge Of Night aired its final CBS episode on Nov. 28. The following Monday, Edge moved to ABC, making it the first daytime serial to switch networks. There were two feeds, as the serial aired at 4 for East Coast affiliates and 12 Noon for West Coast affiliates, the latter altering the ABC afternoon schedule in the Pacific Time Zone, with Ryan's Hope at 12:30, All My Children at 1, One Life at 1:30 and General Hospital at 2:15.

  • As The World Turns expanded from 30 minutes to 1 hour on Dec. 1-5 becoming the first soap opera on CBS to do so.
  • The Hollywood Squares aired for 1 hour during the week of November 3–7, from 11:30-12:30, moving The Magnificent Marble Machine into 3 for the Money's (which did not air that week) 12:30 timeslot. In the same week, Wheel of Fortune aired for 1 hour from 10:30-11:30, commandeering High Rollers. Both shows are reduced back to 30 minutes on November 10, however, Wheel of Fortune will expand back to 1 hour for seven weeks beginning on December 1.

NOTES: On NBC, Wheel of Fortune expanded to one hour on December 1, 1975. The Magnificent Marble Machine aired at 12:30 during that time. Take My Advice replaced Marble Machine on January 5. Wheel was reduced back to 30 minutes on January 16, 1976, and Marble Machine returned at noon in an all-celebrity format.
