American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) is a multinational travel and meetings program management company headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey, US.

Ownership

American Express maintains a 50% ownership stake after divesting American Express Global Business Travel in 2014. [1][2] The other 50% is held by a Certares-led investor group, including

  • Qatar Investment Authority
  • certain funds managed by
    • BlackRock,
    • Teacher Retirement System of Texas,
    • The Carlyle Group’s (NASDAQ: CG) long-duration private equity platform,
    • Carlyle Global Partners, and
