Waghi Tumbe is a semi-professional rugby league club based in Minj, Jiwaka Province of Papua New Guinea. They compete in the Digicel Cup, Papua New Guinea's semi-professional rugby league competition.[1] the team first entered the SP cup now known as Digicel cup in the 2000s. Their main sponsor was Waghi Mac. In their first season they made it to the semifinals before going down to another team. The team didn't participate in the following seasons until 2014, when the jiwaka provincial Government decided to sponsor the team. During that season they finished 8th. The following 2015 and 2016 seasons they finished 8th. And in the 2017 season they finished second last. During the 2018 season a new sponsor GIRU LTD took over the team. In that season they made it to the semifinals before going down to the Goroka Lahnis. In the 2019 season the Jiwaka development corporation LTD took over as the teams sponsor. During the 2019 season the team made it to the semifinals again before losing to the Hela Wigmen.
