Andreas Diermair (born 29 September, 1986 in Deutschlandsberg) is an Austrian chess Grandmaster (GM) since 2018, an International Master (IM) since 2008, and a FIDE Master (FM) since 2005. He is ranked 7th best player in Austria.[1] His highest rating was 2514 (in April 2018).[2] He plays for the Frauental club.

He won the Austrian championship in 2017.

He played in the chess Olympiads in the years 2014, 2016 and 2018.[3]

He played for the Austrian national team at the Mitropa Cups in 2007 and 2011 -2016. They won 3rd place in 2011 and 1st place in 2015.[4]
