Zuberi

'Zubairi', or 'Zuberi' (Arabic: زبيري), is a family name in South Asia and the Middle East. In Arabic, Zubair means Superior.

The Muslim Kamboh of Uttar Pradesh’s are a Muslim community that is part of the wider Kamboh ethnic group of South Asia. They are also known as Zubairi. The Muslim Kamboh are found mainly in the Rohilkhand and Doab region. They are entirely Sunni and speak Urdu. As much as half the community has emigrated to Pakistan, and are now found mainly in Karachi.

Several prominent Zuberi's lived in U.P (Uttar Pradesh) in Meerut , Saharanpur and Marehra who later on migrated to Pakistani cities after the Indo-Pak separation.
